The major international agricultural congress ASIAEXPO will be held in Sirius from October 23 to 25
The Second International Agricultural Congress ASIAEXPO will be held on the territory of the Sirius University of Science and Technology from October 23 to 25. Representatives from more than 50 countries of Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the CIS will participate in the business event.
The Russian delegation, which included the congress leadership, held a series of negotiations with African partners in Cameroon and Gabon in mid-July. The following have been invited to participate in the congress: Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Oksana Lute. Their attendance has been confirmed by: Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Gabon Alexandre Barro Chambrier, Deputy Prime Minister of Equatorial Guinea Alfonso Nsue Mokoye, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Cameroon Dr. Blessed Okole, Minister of Agriculture of Saudi Arabia Abdulrahman Al-Fadli, Minister of Agriculture of Iraq Abbas Jabr Al-Alyawi.
“Last year showed the demand for the creation of a congress, which was attended by about 6 thousand people. The total amount of contracts that were signed within the framework of the first international agricultural congress ASIAEXPO in 2023 on the federal territory "Sirius" amounted to almost 3 billion rubles. We see great potential in developing trade relations with African countries, and the upcoming business mission will be an important step towards realizing these opportunities. This year, we intend to increase the volume of potential contracts. In July, we already held negotiations with African partners who expressed a desire to participate in the congress, they will present their products in October this year," notes Igor Milovanov, General Director of the ASIAEXPO congress.
As a result of the event, the Russian side also intends to conclude agreements with foreign partners this year regarding the import and export of manufactured goods and services.
The International Congress ASIAEXPO is an entire ecosystem that includes a business program, an exhibition, and cultural events for business mission participants from Russia, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
The first congress was held on the federal territory of Sirius in 2023. At the event, 21 public agreements were signed and more than 100 contracts were concluded for a total of almost 3 billion rubles. The congress is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and the National Clearing Center.
