Here is the only territory in Russia with a subtropical climate. It is located on the northeastern coast of the Black Sea in the Krasnodar Territory at a distance of 1620 km from Moscow.

This park has always been a hallmark and symbol of the city. It was founded in 1898. Initially, it belonged to one of the famous merchants. Nowadays this is a favorite place for young guests of Sochi - today most of the “Riviera” Park is occupied by amusement rides and a dolphinarium. This is a classic amusement park with shows, fountains and kiosks with cotton candy and popcorn.
The main attraction of the “Riviera” Park is the Glade of Friendship. It features magnolias, planted by great celebrities, including Yuri Gagarin. The place is famous for its rose garden, the fragrances here are incredible. Every year, landscape designers create new installations of roses of various colors and types.

The park is divided into zones: it spans from the forests of South and North America to the thickets of Australia and Oceania, from the nature of the Caucasus to the gardens of the East. Here you can meet rare species of birds. Visitors with children can visit the ostrich farm, aquarium and terrarium.
The Park is located on a hill, so you should first go up the cable car, and then stroll down the alleys and paths. At the top there is an observation terrace, where you can enjoy the best views over the Black Sea.

Another must-see place is a picturesque town in a mountain range. It was built intentionally for the Olympic Games 2014. The resort is located 40 kilometers from the city. There are equipped with ski slopes of total length of 77 kilometers, hotels, apartments, restaurants. Everything here is arranged in a way as it should be for the most respectable winter resort in Russia. In summer, people come here to enjoy the nature of the Caucasian Nature Reserve.
On the way to Krasnaya Polyana, you can stop at the Skypark. This place is especially interesting for extreme sports fans. They wait for a jump down to the abyss from a height of 207 meters.

There are sports facilities for sport competitions, there is an Olympic village where athletes lived during the Olympics. The architectural ensemble of the Park is crowned with the majestic Fisht Stadium. The Olympic Ganes opening and closing ceremonies were held here. The entire Park covers almost 200 hectares. You can go around it on a bike, segway or roller skates. There is a rental services within the territory.
In the evening you definitely should visit the singing fountains show. In summer the show starts at 20:30, in spring and autumn - at 19:00, in winter - at 18:00. The show lasts for 1 hour.
